Weston Vermont Attractions

Farrar-Mansur House and Tavern The Museums of Weston offer a glimpse into Vermont village life in the early nineteenth century. The Farrar-Mansur House is filled with period local heirlooms in room settings. The adjacent Old Mill, with its fascinating collection of antique tools and machinery, is one of very few operating water-powered gristmills in the country. Both museums are open for tours on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from July 2through October 9 and on Wednesday afternoons through September 7. To arrange special group tours, call 824-5294.
Downstairs at the Playhouse Weston Playhouse Theatre Company
Located on the village green, Vermont's oldest professional theatre company presents a summer season of Broadway's favorite plays and musicals. Under the direction of Malcolm Ewen, Tim Fort and Steve Stettler, the Playhouse has expanded its offerings beyond the traditional summer months and created outreach programs that serve Southern Vermont audiences on a year-round basis. With an eye to the future, the Weston Playhouse continues to build on the tradition of quality entertainment and community involvement which has characterized it since its inception in 1937.
