Peabody Apiaries Weston VermontPeabody Mountain Apiaries

Up on the side of Peabody Mountain, above the quaint Vermont village of Weston, Carol and Steve MacLaury live quietly among their berry patches, vegetable and flower gardens, and work as busily as the bees that zip around the beehives outside their blue house. After 30 years of buzzing tiny hand drills and molding porcelain powder onto gold to create new teeth for those in need, Carol and Steve decided to embrace a new creative adventure. After tending to two million bees, twenty-eight hives, and the imaginative development of beeswax candles, honey soaps, creamed and raw honey products, Carol and Steve have found themselves happy beekeepers and endlessly inspired by their bees.

Woodcock Farm Weston Vermont

Woodcock Farm Cheese Company

Located just outside the picturesque village of Weston, VT, Woodcock Farm Cheese Company is home to Mark and Gari Fischer and family and their award winning farmstead and artisanal cheeses.
With their flock of East Friesian sheep grazing on 45 acres of lush organic pastures the Fischers hand craft some of the best sheep’s milk cheeses,
cow & sheep’s milk blends and all cows’ milk cheeses being made in the US today.
The Cheese – Building their brand around three sheep’s milk cheeses, Weston Wheel (An aged, raw sheep’s milk cheese-American Cheese Society Award Winner), Summer Snow (a luscious sheep’s milk Camembert style) and West River Feta (A Bulgarian style Feta-American Cheese Society Award Winner), the Fischers have established themselves as makers of farmstead cheeses of unique styles, textures and flavors. With their national awards and success in the marketplace, Mark & Gari have since developed several new cheeses including: Magic Mountain (American Cheese Society Award Winner-hard aged Alpine sheep’s milk cheese, sweet & nutty with a gritty texture and slight tanginess on the finish-aged around 10 months), True Blue (a creamy cows’ milk blue-there is also an all sheep’s milk version), Timberdoodle (American Cheese Society Award Winning Havarti style-cow/sheep blend or all cows’ milk) Humble Pie (a milder washed rind with a soft creamy texture, delicate milky flavor and slightly tangy finish).
