New Thought Vermont Presentation on Emotions and the Spiritual Life

May 1, 2019 in News

Weston, VT…. New Thought Vermont offers a pubic presentation on Emotions and the Spiritual Life with Jane Kopp, Ph.D., Thursday, May 16th from 2:30 to 3:45 pm at the Village Green Gallery in Weston, Vermont. The gathering time is from 2:00 to 2:30 pm.  Conversation with light refreshments will follow the presentation from 3:45 to 4:30 pm. There is a suggested donation of $15 at the door.

Even ordinary day-to-day family and work interactions among human beings can give rise to surprisingly powerful emotions—anger, resentment, and hurt, to mention only a few.  Can we “help” what we feel?  We will explore strategies from various spiritual and psychological traditions for the constructive transformation of specific, problematic emotions.

Kopp has been since 1998 the Director of the Brooks Center for Spirituality, a not-for-profit organization in Denver, Colorado, dedicated to the study and teaching of spiritual psychology. She is also the founder of Advaita Vedanta Denver and a former board member of the C.G. Jung Society of Colorado.  After over twenty years of intensely active ministry and spiritual counseling practice that ended only in 2011, she left ministry to do full time teaching of spiritual psychology.
